Since 1957 the Second Baptist Church of Ravenswood, WV, has been a lighthouse of the gospel in Jackson county. 
Second Baptist Church is an Independent, Fundamental, Baptist Church. For over sixty years the message has remained the same: The Book (KJV); The Blood; and The Blessed Hope.

Second Baptist Church has been blessed with great men of God as their pastors over the years. Since 2003 Dr. S. Richard Parsons, Jr. has served as the senior pastor.

We thank the Lord for all the different ministries over the years here at Second Baptist Church and all the hard work of everyone that has been involved. But first and foremost we thank our Lord Jesus Christ for His faithfulness and for always supplying our needs. Thank you Jesus. We love you because you first loved us.
